We are delighted that Jane from the renowned Leeds shop Baa Ram Ewe is hosting a three month course that will support all levels of knitting at The Sewing Shed. Starting with the basics of knitting, the workshops will support you in developing your knitting skills, allowing you to know what you want and not what you feel you should knit! Some of the topics covered will include;
Jane has been knitting for over 30 years and has produced commission knitting as well as working in store at Baa Ram Ewe for seven years offering advice, support and know how for customers. She’s chatty and warm and will ensure everyone is very welcome and at ease – no matter their level of experience. Why not join meet regularly in this nurturing group to get top tips and advice?
The course will be held over three months, every last-ish Saturday in the month from 10am -2.30pm, but not to worry if you don’t finish its anticipated we will run another course following on from this one. There is no time limit!
The actual dates for your diary for 2020 : February 29th, March 28th, April 25th,
£100 for the course. It is anticipated that you attend the whole course.
We suggest that if you are new to knitting you purchase a starter’s kit for £10 which will include a skein of Baa Ram Ewe’s fabulous Winterburn Aran and a pair of circular knitting needles to get you going. If you require this kit, please let us know when you book. If you already have the basic skills, you can also take advantage of the starter kit and are welcome to bring your own yarn and knitting needles.
If you can already knit and you want to improve your skills or meet regularly to get advice and top tips then this group is for you.
Do bring a light packed lunch, drinks provided.
We anticipate our knitting course will be very popular and as spaces are limited, please do plan ahead to avoid disappointment.
