Sewing 1:1 with Leonie or Becky

Is there a sewing project that you’re struggling with? Are there sewing skills you’ve always wanted to master or have you always wanted to learn the art of fitting clothes, a favourite amongst many of our students. If the answer is yes, then private sewing tuition is your answer!

Who’s it for?

Anyone who wants support with a specific sewing project and would benefit from one to one tuition.

What will I learn?

You decide how you want to spend the two hours and what you want to achieve. Students in the past have had help with: Dressmaking (how to measure correctly, amend patterns and achieve the perfect fit) Hone and master a specific sewing skill; zips, piping Finishing tricky projects Start your own sewing business (improve your skills so that you can turn a hobby into a business)

What do I need to bring?

Fabric and pattern for your sewing project A basic sewing kit including fabric scissors, pins, tape measure and matching Gutterman sewing thread. You may also want to bring your own machine and overlocker to rally get to grips with it.

What equipment do you provide?

We provide a Janome sewing machine for each student.

Access to two very large cutting tables and two overlockers

How much does it cost?

£100 for two hours private tuition, payable in advance for 1:1. £150 for 1:2.
