Sewing classes

Come and release your inner sewing bee at The Sewing Shed! We’d love to welcome you to one of our adult daytime and evening sewing classes. They’re all mixed ability classes which means they’re perfect whatever your experience and sewing starting point. We also run Childrens Sewing Classes and a Young Designers Sewing Club.

We are currently running the following sewing classes:

• Specialist Classes in Patchwork & Quilting and Curtains & Roman Blinds

Students might have slightly different starting points, but thanks to our small classes we can guarantee plenty of time with the tutor which combined with our nurturing environment will help you to build your skills and confidence.

What will I learn?

• Core dressmaking skills including how to measure to fit your shape, read a pattern or how to achieve a shop bought finish.
• Understanding how to read a pattern.
• Understanding how to use a sewing machine.
• You will benefit from the nurturing atmosphere of the small classes
• Creative input from tutors as well as their expert knowledge.

Leonie teaches Mixed Ability Sewing, Curtain & Roman Blinds, 1:1 and our Children’s and Young Designer’s Sewing Classes.

Becky teaches our Dressmaking Weekend Workshops and 1:1.

Susan teaches Mixed Ability Wednesday Evening Classes.
