beginners sewing classes & Saturday workshops with Becky

Although beginners might like a suggestion of what they can make, our sewing classes are totally open – you have the freedom to learn to sew anything you want! You’ll work alongside no more than 7 other novice sewing students who have been grouped in a beginners class so that all the students will feel at ease.

what might you learn to sew?

Our Facebook page shows you what other students have made. During your course, you might work on:

  • A simple skirt
  • A short sleeve top
  • A cushion cover

The Wednesday night course is to encourage and teach sewing to beginners who want to start a new hobby or novice sewers that haven’t really haven’t got to grips with their sewing machine, in a class with students who have similar capabilities. Some of our students have now been attending for a while but are nurturing as they remember what it was like to be a newbie!

Beckys Saturday Workshops are for sewers of all levels and experience, just bring along your current sewing project or ask us for suggestions. Beginners are very welcome.
